How to Write a Book in Less Than 24 Hrs?

I told my girlfriends parents that I'm a writer, and wrote a book, and they were coming to visit me this week, and I'm just wondering how to write one, within the next 24 hrs?

First off; don't lie. But if you're someone who has nothing to do, you can quickly write a short story. First of all, plan and brainstorm. To get inspiration, find a book that you are inspired by or that you love. So you won't have any trouble. Probably spend 30 minutes brainstorming, so that you aren't stuck on Writer's Block when you're halfway through your story. Go to Word, Pages, Google Docs or paper and type up your story.

Take your time, and add as much detail as you can/want. Writing an ENTIRE story should take 5 - 6 hours if you rush the entire thing, but if you want it to be as detailed (which gives off a more realistic book) as it can be, 7 - 12 hours, all depending on how fast you write, or type. I suggest you type it first, so you don't waste time typing it all up on the computer. A short story would only take about 4 - 5 hours to complete. Get your time.

Most writers need an entire year to write a good thing, but since you're doing this in 24 hours, it won't turn out as "unusual" as theirs. After you're done, print it, however, big or small you want the book to be. Make some eye-catching cover, put it on top and put clear contact over it. Tell some BS about how you "don't want it to wreck."

Or, you can take the easy way out and just rip off the cover off another book and put your lid on top, whatever floats your boat.
